About the Role:The DBA will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing databases, ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability for business applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, upgrade and patch database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL etc.).

  • Perform regular backups, recovery, disaster recovery planning.

  • Monitor performance and tune queries, indexes, schema.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and high availability.

  • Plan capacity, storage, scaling strategies.

  • Assist dev teams with schema design and query optimization.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS / IT or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years experience as DBA.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database internals.

  • Experience with backup/recovery tools and clustering or replication.

  • Familiarity with performance tools, monitoring.
